Wow, this whole story really hit home. After a 38 year relationship where I was married to my husband for 28 years he decided we should open our marriage as a way to work on it because we had been drifting for years. Within a week, he was in bed with a woman halfway across the country after swearing he didn’t have anyone in mind when he suggested the new arrangement…J-E-R-K.

Still, I would not have been ready to hear the message in this story for years. I stayed focused on what was great about being married to him, and overlooked the parts that were shit. The message here is succinct and clearly describes the way I see things now. He is a jerk, and doesn’t deserve me.
