This is truly heartbreaking. I also lost a beautiful family cabin on a lake in my divorce. My ex and his girlfriend emailed me once to say they were sad that I am still sad about the loss. I don’t see it ever going away but I am slowly getting used to it.
I don’t like how our sons will still feel at home there with their Dad and his girlfriend while my new house is just Mom’s new place. Not their home.
