This has been a process for me. I began using a pen name and an avatar image for fear of who might read what I wrote and take issue with it. I have since changed to my real (maiden) name, and an actual photo. I have had friends and family members take issue with some things I published, but I’ve decided against filtering my work for fear of what anyone thinks.
