It all depends on our point of view
There were 5 steps down from the street into his basement apartment. There were myriad objects of interest in the tight living quarters. There was an impeccably made bed in the center of the 2 room place. There were ashtrays and cigarettes. There was a statue of a horse. There was a statue of a giraffe. There were cameras and lenses. There was a guitar. There were books. There was a television broadcasting CNN unceasingly. There were framed photographs on the walls of mostly waterfowl. There was a clawfoot bathtub full of old computer boxes and Christmas decorations. There was a woman’s used makeup remover wipe swiped with green eyeshadow and mascara in the trash can in the bathroom. There was a Victorian House toothbrush holder that also held dental tools. There was a clothing bar over the tub from which hung the brightly colored shirts of an artist.
There were bottles of wine. There was Scotch. There was a prescription bottle of Cialis. There were decorative throw pillows on the bed in rich hues of crimson. There were radiators. There was a clock ticking loudly on the wall. There was an antique radio. There was a baker’s rack. There were toys. There were hats and jackets. There was a wizard. There were teddy bears. There was a sled. There was a bicycle.
There was room for me. There was deep conversation. There was necking. There were homemade dinners. There were freshly baked cookies and cakes for breakfast. There was good coffee. There was hot sex. There was an annoyingly whining quality to his voice. There was warmth.
