I’m making this a significant day
Dear Reader,
Most of us like to start new challenges on a day that has some signifigance such as the first day of the year, month or week. I decided to start writing something every day for the month of December so technically, this is my second day.
I was happy with the way things went here on Medium in November, but I knew I could do better if I just published more work. I know this may lead to having a fair bit of stories that could be considered duds in terms of being read and other types of engagement.
Knowing this I decided to experiment with the exercise anyway just to see what the results will be. At the very least, I will get more writing practice which could be considered a successful experiment. I’ve read more than one post about things that could be considered trivial by other writers with large pools of followers. I imagine some of these people are making money writing about that fight they had with their girlfriend, that drunken spree they had, an interesting or even not so interesting sexual experience, or a bad date they went on and the like.
So I’m taking a chance that some of my own drivel might prove to be engaging with readers. I’m sure a fair bit of it will not be so, too. I have decided to let the chips fall where they may.
