And We Made Music

Because Music is Medicine for our Souls

In the warm glow of white Christmas lights and the fireplace burning, we made music. Out of nothing. Except our breath and movements.

There is no television or wifi in the cabin. We turned off the stereo. Very quiet.

Just days before Christmas. Drinking wine. Frozen outside.

With the 46 year old guitar. And last year’s gift, my tambourine.

Playing. Singing.

It’s really hard to sing and keep rhythm at the same time. But we did. Together.

Led Zeppelin.

Bob Dylan.

The Rolling Stones.

Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

Neil Young.

No Christmas tunes.

Only rock and roll.

Sounded good to us.

Only thing that matters.

For a few hours

We made music.
